Volunteer opportunities are sent via email to parents/guardians of our band students throughout the year.
In order to volunteer, you must complete BSD's Volunteer Application Process.
Returning Volunteers
If you filled out an application last year (during the 2024-2025 school year), and were approved, there is no need to reapply. You will be alerted when you need to be re-verified. If you were volunteering at a different school, you need to change your profile to include MHS. If you have questions you can email the district volunteer coordinator volunteer@beaverton.k12.or.us
New Volunteers
Not yet approved in Raptor? Want to sign up? Go to this link: https://www.beaverton.k12.or.us/departments/communications-community-involvement/volunteer and follow the steps to complete the Volunteer Application Process, where you will create a profile in BSD's Raptor volunteer management system, which includes a criminal records check. You will need to resubmit your application every two years.
You can verify that you completed the application process by logging in to the Raptor Volunteer Portal. You can access the Volunteer Portal by going to the BSD Volunteer Page and clicking the yellow "Volunteer Portal" button (may be in the upper right corner of the page). Here is a shortcut to the Raptor Volunteer Portal.
Once logged in, you can check the "Expiration Date" for your approved status.
